511now does not run a camera, issue a forecast, or draw a wildfire perimeter of its own. Everything on this site is published by a public agency, and every link below opens that agency's own site. When a page here and an agency page disagree, the agency is right.

Road rules and closures

Chain requirements, closures, and pass reports. These pages carry the rule. 511now never guesses a chain level from a photo.

Perimeters and incident updates come from the agencies working the fire. A wildfire camera looks for smoke, not traffic.

Emergency alerts

511now is not an alert system. It does not issue evacuation orders and never tells you to stay or go. If you feel unsafe, leave early.

Credits and licensing

Stills are hotlinked from published public URLs and load in your browser directly from the agency. 511now does not copy them onto its own server, and it does not add a chain level, a closure, a temperature, or an air quality number that the agency did not publish.

Wildfire camera pictures carry the credit the Oregon Hazards Lab asks for: Oregon Hazards Lab at the University of Oregon. Their terms are in the OHAZ media toolkit.
